South Wales Team Tournament 2020

Sheds of the Grimdark are pleased to announce their next team tournament; The South Wales 40k Team Tournament 2020. This event will run from Saturday 5th to Sunday 6th December 2020.

This event will reward cunning tactics, high standards of painting and fair play. A 4 player team format is utilised, allowing generals to play to their strengths and mask their weaknesses. It is also ITC registered and we will be submitting scores for individual team members.

Please note that due to coronavirus restrictions on numbers, tickets have already sold out. If you wish to be notified of any changes or late places opening up, please email us at shedsgrimdark@outlook.com

South Wales Team Tournament – the results!

Well, we’ve had a rest, taken a few days with our feet up, a few rounds in the sauna, and a jolly good cup of tea and a sit down. I have to say, running the thing is a LOT more work than playing in it. I’m almost glad we didn’t have to field a team in the end 😉

We had some truly lovely trophies commissioned, and having put half the profits straight back into the pot, there were some real almost-cash voucher prizes on offer. Real almost cash!

South Wales Team Tournament – Day 2, Round 4 & Painting Competition

We’re back for day 2 of our team tournament! Very ingratiated that everyone from yesterday came back, and glad that everyone’s enjoying Cardiff.

South Wales 40k Team Tournament 2019

Sheds of the Grimdark are pleased to announce their first team tournament; The South Wales 40k Team Tournament 2019.

This event will reward cunning tactics, high standards of painting and fair play. A 4 player team format is utilised, allowing generals to play to their strengths and mask their weaknesses.

It is also ITC registered and we will be submitting scores for individual team members.

Tickets cost £160 per team (£40 pp) including a hot meal each day.

Going to my first ever ITC style event……..

If you go down to the shed today….

So, the Christmas season is over and now we can back into the steady routine of regular wargaming again (😉).

One of the ‘shedders’ suggested we attend an ITC style event (run by the Vale renegades, held at Firestorm games in Cardiff) in Feb.

Now I’ll be the first to admit that this style of event has never really appealed to me. It always seems to be about power gaming with the most optimised lists conceivable.
